Thrilled to be using Swinburne University’s ‘Koala Island‘ in Second Life for an event with VicRoads. We’ll be introducing them to virtual environments. Roads, urban planning, their own distributed work force… it makes sense to start exploring a swag of immersive tools.
I have always been fascinated by the counter-cultural heritage of Second Life – as evidenced by Phillip Rosedale’s much vaunted epiphany at the 1999 art, fire and community event, Burning Man, in the middle of the Nevada desert.
